23 November 2018

Werma introduces a comprehensive kit of the essential components required to set up a simple manually operated andon light system.

The surge in demand for andon lights from operations keen to improve their visual management systems and eliminate wastage and obtain better transparency of their operation has encouraged Werma to introduce a comprehensive kit of the essential components required to set up a simple manually operated andon light system.

Werma Andon SmartBOX & Light set

In Lean Manufacturing terms, andon refers to any visual display that shows status information on the plant floor. The Andon SmartBOX & Light set from Werma contains all the necessary components to create an Andon system. For example, it could be used to indicate line status, show when a supervisor or engineer is required, or allow operators to stop production for quality issues. The Andon SmartBOX & Light set is a 24V system which allows up to four light tiers to be switched. The mains power supply has interchangeable adaptors for EU, UK and North America, and has a 100-240V input range making it suitable for most countries.

Manual work stations, assembly lines, packing and despatch lines can all benefit from this easy to install manual call for action system.
