The Schneider Electric Coventry Innovation Centre tour

19 March 2019

On Thursday, Schneider Electric is hosting more than 40 Made in the Midlands members in its innovation centre to celebrate success and innovation in the manufacturing community.

The Made in the Midlands group brings together some of the most innovative and advanced companies that manufacture in the Midlands. The event will showcase recent Schneider Electric technology and will offer visitors the chance for a tour of the innovation centre – offering invaluable insight into the benefits of Schneider’s solutions.

Key discussions on the day will include:

• The importance of Made in the Midlands – for businesses to learn about their peers own work in the industry, network and improve efficiencies within their own business
• The rise of a smarter Industry 4.0 – with insight into how new technologies such as big data, machine learning and the cloud have altered factory efficiency and maintenance. Discussions will also touch upon how this will impact what the future factory looks like
• How Schneider Electric is utilising IIoT technologies – including how emerging technology has altered the way Schneider Electric works in the manufacturing space

“Made in the Midlands is a really important community to us. Whilst we’re all talking about the benefits of Industry 4.0 and how our organisations are embracing a smarter factory, we’re not doing enough to showcase this and share our knowledge. We’re proud to be inviting members of our local community in to see how Schneider Electric is adopting new technologies to increase efficiencies and enhance productivity”, said Stewart Gregory, VP Partner Projects at Schneider Electric – who will also be leading the day in Coventry.

“Industry leaders such as Beck & Pollitzer, Efaflex and Gotronic will come together to discuss their latest successes and to plan for the future challenges that may arise. With a tour of Schneider Electric’s factory and the technology that it includes, members of Made in the Midlands will be able to encounter leading Industry 4.0 technology that is revolutionising productivity and profitability”.
