SolutionsPT unveils new Citect SCADA system

Industrial IT solutions specialist SolutionsPT has announced the release of Citect SCADA 2018 R2.
The Citect SCADA 2018 R2 system enables industrial process organisations to increase efficiencies in their operations by improving visualisation, allowing them to monitor and control their plants and equipment more effectively.
Featuring an enhanced graphics builder, Citect R2 supports Graphics Browsing in Citect Studio, letting engineers create virtual representations of their plant environments which can be controlled digitally and enabling access to different SCADA functions through a single interface.
The new Citect system can be fully integrated with a range of products from engineering software provider AVEVA, including AVEVA Historian, which gathers and analyses data in real time, and AVEVA Insight, which enables vital operational data to be accessed by engineers via mobile devices, regardless of geographical location. New security enhancements also ensure all communications are encrypted across all product areas, restricting unauthorised access to sensitive information.
