KUKA College programme now available throughout the world

03 January 2020

Since September 2019, the KUKA College website has been available as an online catalogue in 23 countries. Around 250 robot training courses in 15 languages can now be selected and booked online by customers all over the world.

KUKA College offers a high-quality training programme in which customers – and even employees – can take part according to their individual needs. The online catalogue provides convenient access to all information concerning the courses on offer: customers get information about the specific seminar contents, event locations and dates as well as about participation fees and spots available.

“We currently have around 250 seminars on offer at various locations in 23 countries and in 15 languages,” explains Katja Westphal, project leader at KUKA College. “All courses worldwide can be viewed and booked directly online – regardless from where the customer accesses our website.”

Tailor-made robot training courses for every target group

The KUKA College website has been available in Germany since the beginning of 2016. Later, the European sites – followed by most of the sites around the globe – were granted access. Robot training courses can now also be ordered in Japan and South Korea from the online catalogue. Booking seminars has thus not only become globally standardised, but also significantly easier.

The KUKA College training programme is aimed both at system operators and service technicians as well as at programmers and designers: there is a tailor-made seminar for each target group according to the control system and robot type used. “The feedback from the course participants has been very positive so far,” says Katja Westphal. “They particularly praise the high quality of the courses as well as the user-friendliness and clarity of our website.”

Further expansion of the robotics training programmes planned

Due to the positive response, KUKA College is planning to expand the seminar programme to include digital offerings – such as short eLearning modules – as early as the beginning of 2020. These will be made available to customers (in some instances free of charge) in the “LearnerPortal”, KUKA’s learning platform. The digital content will cover a wide range of topics from basic robotics training to special topics such as tool calibration. Further information about KUKA College as well as the complete robotics training programme can be found in the KUKA College Portal.
