Introducing chainflex express, cables delivered in 24 hours door to door

With the goal to deliver chainflex cables within 24 hours, the igus chainflex express service guarantees UK stock for over 300 cables at lengths up to 50m. The concept was born out of recognising the need for faster delivery of dynamic cables, ensuring costly machine downtime is kept to a minimum.
The chainflex express service includes control, servo, motor, robot, bus, data and encoder cables – all available with a 36-month guarantee that can be calculated with the igus online service life calculator.
Various mechanical and electrical capabilities are covered, including both shielded and unshielded designs, hybrid technology, torsional resistance for robot applications, twisted pairs and individually screened twisted pairs and various field bus protocols as well as Ethernet.
“The selection of predominantly PUR outer jacket cables offers the widest application range in terms of temperatures, oil resistance, regulation approvals and standards, bend radius, and many other performance figures,” says Justin Leonard, the-chain director, igus. “This ensures that customers from anywhere in the industry will have quick access to cables, for the majority of end applications and, if required, same day collection is also an option.”
As with all chainflex cables, the cables offered via the chainflex express service are available at no extra cost with no minimum order quantity or cutting cost. For larger volume requirements, part shipment for up to 50m is available to cover need for immediate delivery then regular supply to follow.
“In these circumstances, please give us a call and we can organise to ship the stock on next day delivery or prepare for same day collection,” says Leonard. “Then we will organise future delivery requirements accordingly.”
However, acknowledges Leonard, there may be the rare occasion when the chainflex express cable is not on stock: “Should this ever be the case, please call igus straight away and we will support you by offering part shipment of what we have, express delivery or collect, or organise an alternative cable of equal or better performance at no extra cost.”
