The global crisis through which we’re all currently living is unprecedented in our lifetime and has brought much pain and suffering to people around the world. It has also impacted manufacturing operations significantly and the majority of manufacturers are having to re-engineer the way they operate.
Old and outdated equipment limits the capabilities of manufacturers and now, more than ever, the move to digital integration needs to be explored, understood and implemented.
Technology can help fight the virus, save lives and support the manufacturing and production infrastructure on which our society depends.
Digital tools and solutions can equip manufacturers with the foresight and resiliency they’ll need to recover from the COVID-19 crisis and will allow them to monitor remotely and manage production lines from any location.
Connectivity will be producing the second of its print editions in November 2020, which will look at how Industry 4.0 technology is helping industry get back on track.
It will offer practical tips on how people and processes can continue safely, an insight into the technology available and how best to implement solutions, plus real-life examples of how the technology has been successfully utilised in the workplace.
