Maximum performance and flexibility in a streamlined design

15 September 2020

With the KR CYBERTECH nano, KUKA presents a highly flexible multi-functional tool that delivers even in the harshest environments. Low operating costs make the KUKA low payload robot particularly appealing for economically challenging production chains.

Whether as a handling robot, as a welding robot, for palletising or for an adhesive application: the wide range of models and equipment of the new KR CYBERTECH nano from KUKA ensures almost unlimited application possibilities. In the low payload category between 6 and 10 kilograms, the cost-effective robot stands out for its speed and precision while keeping investment and maintenance costs low.

Suitable for a wide range of applications – as a handling robot, welding robot and more

“With the new KR CYBERTECH nano, we are making industrial applications fit for the future,” says Markus Hollfelder-Asam, Portfolio Manager at KUKA. “Due to the flexible application potential combined with high performance, the investment pays off quickly and the KUKA robot in the low payload category immediately delivers top results in all areas.” The main reason for this is that the robot types are perfectly matched to their primary intended purpose.

The KUKA robot in the low payload category can be positioned at any angle

The new robot also excels in the handling of sensitive electronic components, being protected against uncontrolled electrostatic charging or discharging (ESD). Even humid or harsh environments are no problem for the KR CYBERTECH nano: the main axes are protected to IP 65 against dust and water, the wrist axes even to IP 67. Moreover, the KUKA robot in the low payload category can be installed in any position – on the floor, ceiling or wall – and at any angle.
