Maximum flexibility with IO-Link Y Series

15 January 2021

Carlo Gavazzi continues to meet the needs of Industry 4.0 by launching the IO-Link Y series of IIoT-enabled network blocks which allow up to eight smart devices to connect to the higher-level control system.

Installing smart devices within a plant can improve business performance as well as product quality, maintenance/machine uptime, increased speed of operation and lower manufacturing costs.

IO-Link Y master YL212 allows the connection of all sections of a plant into a single industrial network, from the management level (ERP) right down to the field level (sensors and actuators).   Using the embedded webserver and IODD Y series IO-Link masters can provide complete integration, communication and direct data exchange between different fieldbuses using communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus/TCP, OPC UA or Profinet IO.

The YN115 DIN rail version is suited to control cabinet installation and includes pluggable/removable push-in and screw terminal connectors for a quick and error-proof installation of the IO-Link devices and modules.

The integrated web server is available in seven languages, and the IODD interpreter provides easy access, configuration and diagnostic of the module and the attached IO-Link devices via a web browser. The inbuilt OPC-UA architecture allows data transmission on many platforms so it can be accessed remotely from PC’s, tablets or smartphones and without the need for any additional costly software or PLC.

The Y Series is the perfect solution to provide optimal performance in any factory where smart processes are required from the machine and factory level to the top, providing an easy-to-use intelligent interface between hardware and software. The Y series of products are CE, UL and FCC certified.
