Visit Festo at the Drives & Controls exhibition

08 April 2024

Drives & Controls (part of Manufacturing & Engineering Week) – Stand F44 – 4-6th June 2024 – NEC, Birmingham.

Standardised hardware and the ability to work with the industry-leading control architectures makes Festo stepper and servo drives, remote I/O and valve terminals a natural choice for machine manufacturers and end-users.

Festo will be showing the new CMMT multi-protocol servo drives as an outstanding example of cutting-edge drives technology, and the new universal valve terminal VTUX with its innovative connectivity and flexibility highlights innovation in controls.

There will be dynamic displays demonstrating this technology to machine builders and to open up discussions on how they can benefit from these new releases.

Also on show will be the recently-launched artificial intelligence-supported predictive maintenance apps. The first example of this is the ‘Festo AX Motion Insights – Pneumatic’ app which enables users to apply AI predictive maintenance to their existing, standard installation, including pneumatic actuators with end of stroke cylinder switches.

The app runs in the background looking for any anomalies showing wear or leaks and therefore, forthcoming failures. The app supplies outputs as a simple traffic light predictor showing the severity of the failure risk, enabling timely, planned maintenance.

As a privately-owned company, driving innovation in automation technology is in the Festo DNA. The Festo applications engineers will be on hand at the show and in our Customer Applications centre, to support implementations and to get customers up and running fast.
