Clean Power 2030 Action Power Plan: Comment

In light of the Government’s Clean Power 2030 Action Power Plan published in Dec 2024, Kelly Becker, President at Schneider Electric UK and Ireland, Belgium and Netherlands, comments on the landmark move and the need for the plan to be aligned with the Government’s Industrial Strategy.
“The Government’s Clean Power 2030 Action Plan is a landmark move to accelerate the energy transition, and positions the UK as a trailblazer in tackling climate change. The Government rightly identifies grid infrastructure and connections, planning, supply chain and workforce challenges as key barriers to achieving the 2030 ambition. I welcome the Government's plans to convene a new supply chain and workforce industry forum as well as the commitment to giving developers greater route-to-market certainty. This will help to provide much-needed investment confidence."
